Dr. John Oswalt is Visiting Distinguished Professor of Old Testament at Asbury Theological Seminary. He is known internationally as a distinguished professor, accomplished author, experienced pastor, and popular conference speaker. His writings most often deal with the application of Biblical teachings to modern ethical questions. He has served on several Bible translation teams.

Dr. Oswalt has served as President of Asbury University and as a faculty member of Asbury Theological Seminary, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Wesley Biblical Seminary. He is an ordained minister of the Kentucky Conference of the United Methodist Church.
