Jack Munos

Jack Munos was appointed as a career missionary with the Free Methodist Church in March 2004. He has been serving in Haiti since January 2005.  In the 2010 Haiti earthquake, Jack's wife, Jeanne, lost her life for the sake of Haiti.

The Gomezes serve with FMWM, teaching and ministering in Santiago, Chile while preparing materials and exploring opportunities for leadership development throughout Latin America.  They are currently involved in a new church plant in Santiago.

The Hamleys are Free Methodist missionaries in Madrid, Spain.  They coordinate teh work of the Madrid Learning and Cultural Center, a Christian outreach to Madrid's urban core.  Both are involved in community outreach and evangelism with their local church.

The Herseys are missionaries to Haiti, serving at Quisqueya Christian School, a multi-cultural Christian school in Port-au-Prince, which provides about 300 English-speaking students with an American-based Christian education. Steve serves as a high school English teacher and Ruth serves as a middle school language arts teacher. Approximately 15-20% of the QCS students are missionary children from a wide spectrum of evangelical agencies. The balance are from Haitian homes or foreign families who are involved in business, health care or service projects in Haiti.


 

Chris and Sarah Kappler

Kris and Sarah Kappler have served in Central Asia since August, 2004.  Their vision is to seek out and train those people who will win Central Asia to Christ.  Sarah teaches English to orphans and provides hospitality for international guests.  The Kapplers reach out to Muslims through the "English Village," language training institute.  Kris and Sarah are reaching their community through the church they started in their own home.  Kris oversees a seminary program and Light Association of churches including mentoring young churches and training and supervising new church planters.


 

Keith and Sharon Madison

After a successful 25 year career as the University of Kentucky's head baseball coach, in 2006 Keith became the SCORE International National Baseball Director. In Keith's new role he ministers to a wide range of persons in the the athletic community, though his primary focus is high school and college baseball coaches. Keith is constantly on the road speaking to teams and coaches at athletic events and also publishes a bi-weekly e-devotional. Sharon also plays a vital part in this ministry. She has retired from a teaching position and now accompanies Keith on his may trips as well as ministering to coaches' wives with her bi-monthly newsletter. Keith and Sharon have attended the Wilmore Free Methodist Church since the early 1980s.

     
 

Diane Munoz

Diane has served as a full-time staff chaplain with Hospice of the Bluegrass since 2006.  She serves as a home team chaplain for two Fayette-Jessamine county teams. In her relatively short time with hospice, Diane has served over 1300 patients and family members.  Diane lives in Wilmore with her daughter Kathi Leigh: a sixth grader at West Jessamine Middle School. 


 

Dan and Hope Owsley

The Owsleys are Free Methodist missionaries involved in the training of evangelists, planting churchs, and organizing neighborhood outreach programs in Cuiabá, Brazil. Hope and Dan are currently teaching at the newly formed Free Methodist Bible School, training future pastors and lay leaders. Dan is acting as interim director. I addition they also give support to three church plants where Dan often preaches, and Hope helps with children's ministries. Hope develops curriculum, trains teachers and does some translation work for Brazil's International Child Care Ministries.

The Probsts minister in Japan with World Gospel Mission. Dennis teaches at Immanuel Bible Training College, leads English Bible study groups connected with several universities, and preaches in WGM-related churches. Priscilla holds neighborhood cooking and English Bible classes.

Josh and Jennifer are serving as Missionary Disciples in Leon, Central Mexico. They continue their Spanish studies and have started a small group in their home.  They hope to raise up national leaders through church planting and inductive Bible study, as well as reach out to the community through teaching English, ballet and humanitarian work.

Josef and Lynette Sykora

The Sykora's ministries in the fast growing, post-communist economy of Slovakia encompasses teaching, pastoring, mentoring and counseling. Josef serves a very active congregation as associate pastor and also teaches pastors from emerging European FM churches. Many of these leaders need the basics on topics including understanding the Bible, church history and systematic theology. Following the turmoil of wars and communism, many Europeans have experienced brokenness and despair, Lynette sees Christian counseling as an avenue for healing and offers member care to missionaries and European church planters in need.


 

The Ury Family

In 2004 Thane & Laura began career service with OMS. Dr. Ury's 15 years at Bethel College in the Religion and Philosophy Department served as ideal preparation of his current teaching position at United Wesleyan Graduate Institute. UWGI is a joint seminary of OMS and other denominations sharing a  Wesleyan tradition, including the Free Methodist Church of Hong Kong. Thane teaches theology in various locations, disciples, writes, and toggles back and forth between special projects and administrative responsibilities. Laura teaches at the 900 student International Christian School, disciples, and is involved in prayer ministry.


 

Rick and Lesa Winchester

Rick is a chaplain in the the United States Army and an ordained Elder in the New South Conference of the Free Methodist Church. After a 3 year over seas deployment, Rick was finally reunited with Lesa in the summer of 2006. In addition he has just finished Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE) training. "With that I have also completed all course work for my D-Min. The Army is now giving me 1 1/2 years to complete my project and dissertation." Rick is currently assigned as a Chaplain Clinician at Eisenhower Army Medical Center at Fort Gordon , GA. In addition he is also Resource Manager & Training for the Department of Ministry. Lesa is working part-time as a Dental Assistant. Their daughter Jessie is now living in Charlotte , NC and their son Ben is starting his Jr. year at the Univ. of South Carolina.
