It's been my privilege to serve as a pastor to this great congregation since 1999, and was appointed Senior Pastor in 2004. Annette married me in 1998 and we have three fabulous sons - Benjamin, Paul and David. I wouldn't trade my calling, as a husband, father and pastor, even if I could. Pretty much any old car (anything pre-1970) catches my interest; I like working around the house and yard too. I have an eclectic collection of degrees from Grove City College (B.A), Asbury Theological Seminary (M. Div), and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (Ed.D.), but would likely trade them all for a Venti Mocha Frappucinno on any given day.

Reed Wilbanks
Minister of Students rwilbanks@wfmc.net
Anne and I met in college in South Carolina and married in 1988. After spending 12 years in the corporate world, the Lord unexpectedly changed our path, calling us out of that world to Asbury Theological Seminary to prepare for a lifetime of vocational ministry. In addition to the M.Div degree, the Lord led me to pursue an M.A.in Biblical Studies, both of which I completed in 2003. After seminary, I returned to Montgomery, Alabama to serve a congregation of over 8,500 as Pastor of Congregational Care. In the summer of 2007, the Lord once again changed our path in a radical way by calling me to serve as Minister to Students at WFMC. Anne and I are thrilled to be back in Wilmore and are humbled and honored to be serving the Lord and the people of WFMC. |

Kelly & I moved to Wilmore in July of 1995 & began attending Wilmore Free Methodist (WFMC) in the fall. I joined the staff in 2004. My career resume includes landscaping, fast food, European Hardware distribution, window & door manufacturing, plumbing wholesale & onsite wastewater management. My hobbies can be best described as “anything that demands rugged physical labor- i.e. work”– the rougher the conditions the more invigorating. Kelly invests her time tirelessly in our home and in our four children, as well as keeping me focused. Kelly & I were married in 1992 in Pottstown, PA. We both graduated from Hobe Sound Bible College in Hobe Sound, FL. They graciously awarded me a BA in Christian Education & Kelly earned an AA in Biblical Studies. I also graduated from Asbury Theological Seminary in 1998 with a M. Div. I’m not big on sitting still for long periods of time focusing on one …….now, what was I talking about? |

I have been blessed to serve as the Assistant Minister of Music to this wonderful, loving congregation since January of 2003. I truly love what I do and desire to be used by the Lord in wherever He leads. I married my very patient husband, Mark, in 2004 and we are expecting our first child in February of 2008 (a boy whose name is yet to be announced!). I graduated with a B.A. in Music (Church Music Emphasis) from Asbury College in 2002. I enjoy spending time with my husband, visiting historical sites, telling corny jokes, and watching Ohio State Football!”

It is an honor to serve God in the position of Staff Assistant in the office. I began here in October of 1994, serving under Pastor Dean Cook and now Pastor Daryl Diddle. I have a degree in Elementary Education from George Mason University and taught several years, including teaching my own children at home. My husband, Charlie, and I have been married for 39 years, and have two children, who with their spouses and our grandchildren, live here in Wilmore. I particularly enjoy watching the birds in our “country” back yard, and collecting glass birds. I do a little cross stitching, scrap booking and card making when I have the time. I am passionate about knowing God and spending time with Him. That is the goal of my life, and hopefully, ministry to others flows out of that relationship.

I was almost born in the Free Methodist Church - my parents were pastors in the Wabash Conference. I taught in the music department at Spring Arbor College for 25 years and at Asbury College for 18 plus years. I married Nadine Jirrels from Wichita, Kansas, in 1949. I earned a PhD in music. We have 3 sons; one is a teacher, one is a cartographer, and one is a bishop. They and their families provide us with joy. Before retirement, I played piano and organ regularly at church. These past two years I produced 2 CDs of my piano arrangements and I wrote a symphony that was performed with my son conducting the Lexington Community Orchestra. I’m interested in music, painting and writing. When I was in the third grade my mother prayed with me at the altar in Tennyson, Indiana, and I asked Jesus to come into my heart. That commitment has made all the difference in the rest of my life. The Lord has been wonderfully good to me.

I grew up in Wichita, Kansas, in the Quaker church. After attending William Penn College and Central Christian College in Kansas, I graduated from Greenville College (IL) where I majored in English Literature and Philosophy-Religion. It was there I met and married Gilbert Roller. I’ve taught in both high school and college, was Registrar and later Assistant Director of Admissions at Spring Arbor College. One of my disciplines has been to memorize books of the Bible. When we moved from Michigan to Kentucky, I decided I wanted to have time to care for people of the church and not pursue a vocation. (Also, I do love to work in my flower garden.)

Minister of Children is my title, but loving children is my honor. I have attended the church since 1990 and took this position in the Fall of 2002. Mark and I married in 1988 and we have two wonderful children, Hannah and Adam, who are growing up much too fast. I love to read and do lots of crafts. Most likely you can find some kind of cross-stitch project near my favorite chair. I love the Blondie dessert at Applebee’s and almost anything chocolate. Stressed spelled backwards is desserts!

It's been my privilege to serve as Minister of Music to this fabulous congregation since 1991. Cheryl had one weak moment in her life and married me in 1988. We have two incredible children – Hannah and Adam. I am totally dedicated to my calling, as a husband, father and music minister. I really like to go on lunch dates with my wife, play with my children, and enjoy the beauty and relaxation of a golf course (no matter what the score!). My music degrees are from Asbury College (B.A.), where I am also the Chairman of the Music Department, and Southern Baptist Theological Seminary (M.C.M, D.M.A). |
