What's a book or movie during which you laughed or cried (or both)?
The book, Where the Red Fern Grows, gets me every time. It’s such a beautiful story of love and devotion.
What prayer has God answered in your life recently?
As I prayed for discernment of the next step I should take, the Lord made it clear that seminary was the next step. With all of the changes I have faced over the last several months, God has met me and provided for me.
Name a time in your life when God showed up in an amazing way.
In my junior year at Asbury College, a dear friend lost her fight with cancer. Following the funeral, I was driving back to school in pouring rain. The weather outside looked a lot like how I was feeling inside. As the raindrops splattered on my car and tears fell from my eyes, I caught a glimpse of light in the sky. Blinking the tears away, I saw a rainbow that stretched over the road. As I drove under the rainbow, the Lord reminded me of His presence and love for me.
What really matters to you?
Jesus, my family, my friends, children and teenagers.
What is your favorite restaurant meal?
My favorite restaurant of all time is Ted’s Café Escondido in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma! They have the best guacamole salad and don’t get me started on their all-you-can-eat chips, salsa, cheese dip and tortillas…
What is your vision for ministry at Wilmore FM Church?
I long to see the teenagers come to know Jesus intimately. I want them to find their place in the Kingdom of God as His children. As they live His grace and love, may they fulfill their calling to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind…And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.” (Matthew 22:37,39)
What would people be most surprised to learn about you?
When I was a little girl, I wanted to grow up to be a rodeo clown.
